Competitive balance

Abstract

With all the hype about sustainability and the protests of those who wish to stop business pursuing its legitimate plans there must be recognition that business has to remain competitive. What governments often seem to ignore (and certainly the puritans of the eco-warriors clearly disregard) is that business has to remain competitive if it is to survive and create wealth. In the global battleground, it is more difficult to maintain a level playing field when organizations start from positions that are not common, either from concern for the environment or the business culture. This is further complicated by political, cultural and religious diversity
