End-of-Period Stocks

Abstract

The end-of-period stocks of natural resources consist of the fungible basic resource, Bt+1; the stock of the unextracted/unmined nonrenewable resource, NRt+1; and the unharvested stocks of the renewable resources in the three countries, R1t+1, R2t+1, and R3t+1. The stocks of manufactured goods at the end of the period consist of the stock of the transformed nonrenewable resource, NR*t+1; the stocks of the transformed natural resources, R1*t+1, R2*t+1, and R3*t+1 the stock of capital goods, Kt+1; the stock of consumption goods, Ct+1; and the three infrastructures I1t+1, I2t+1, and I3t+1. The human populations (in terms of mass) at the end of the period are represented by the amounts H1t+1, H2t+1, and H3t+1, while their populations in terms of numbers are given by N1t+1, N2t+1, and N3t+1. The end-of-period stocks of treated and stored waste are given by WS1t+1, WS2t+1, and WS3t+1, and the end-of-period stock of pollution (untreated waste) is denoted by P*.
