Abstract

When a specific legislative or another advocacy and/or lobby campaign is over, whether or not the objective was achieved, it is wise, after a brief period to gain perspective (two weeks to a month, not longer), to look back and do an evaluation/analysis of what worked and what didn’t, where were the strengths, where were the weaknesses, where were the missed opportunities, and how the organization/coalition can capitalize on these opportunities in the future. Losses and defeats should be analyzed with a resolve to succeed next time (there will always be a next time). Lobbying is a process employed over time.
