Abstract

It is time to revisit the dynamic-strategy model. Since providing a brief overview at the very beginning we have reviewed the various orthodox approaches to economic dynamics, outlined the likely benefits to be gained from the inductive approach, and examined in some detail the main components of the model. Attention has focused on the strategic principle of dynamic order, the role of materialist man, the realist dynamic form of the model, and the operation of the new concepts of strategic confidence and strategic demand. We need to draw the various components of the model together in order to show how it works. This will also form a basis for the discussion of economic fluctuations in Part VI and for an analysis of political change and policy in Part VII.
