Abstract

Burma has a population of around 53 million people. That astounds many people. It is a lot of people to be locked away from the rest of the world by economic sanctions that the US and its allies impose on the country to get at its military government. (Compare Burma’s population with Cuba’s at 11 million or North Korea’s at 23 million.)
