Abstract

In this book, we have tried to present new developments in the theory of organizational knowledge creation. Widespread interest in the theory during the past 15 years, both in academia and in business (Nonaka et. al., 2006), has led to significant progress in understanding the process in which organizations create knowledge. Despite these advances in research and practice, the theory was not yet fully developed as a dynamic and comprehensive framework for managing the knowledge-based firm because we had not yet fully understood the characteristics of knowledge as a resource.
