Abstract

In the search to achieve higher levels of flexibility, employers are using various means, such as coercive comparisons and threats of relocation, to increase management discretion and transform the terms and conditions of employment. This management strategy of continuous change poses a challenge to traditional forms of work regulation and has generated tensions and conflict.
