Abstract

The Honda Motor Company Ltd is unique even among Japanese automobile manufacturers. The uniqueness originates mainly in Soichiro Honda, the founder of Honda Motor, who pursued technology ceaselessly and had a fearless entrepreneurial spirit. Thus, in the company, Soichiro’s successors inherited his spirit to reject imitation, preconceived ideas, preceding examples and even hierarchical structures.
