Abstract

Within the next 20–30 years advancements in the development of artificial intelligence combined with molecular engineering will lead to a technological singularity. This technological singularity — an exponential technological progression — will come about when computers take control of their own development and become capable of processing trillions of times more information than humans. This power will be enhanced through immense information-sharing and the parallel processing of a global Supernet. The Supernet represents the combined sentient power of millions or even billions of machines, each with superhuman intelligence.
