Abstract

The crisis management handbook should never be viewed as an instruction manual for each individual emergency or crisis situation. Nor should it be a record of every intricate detail, procedure or evacuation plan of the entire corporation, spidering into a myriad of teams, groups and subgroups to such a point that, in a rushed situation, the right information is there but cannot be simply accessed or understood. It is in such situations that too much information is almost worse than no information at all.
