Abstract

The whole book should, hopefully, be helping mentoring scheme managers and potential mentees and mentors with the decision as to whether or not introducing or participating in a mentoring scheme is the right thing to do in their given context. In this chapter, there are a few summary points to help this process along the way — a kind of quick reality check. A case study from YELL Ltd helps to illustrate how mentoring schemes can expand both within and outside an organisation and how different types of mentor and mentee can be available.
