Abstract

Laura was working in a small corporation with about two hundred employees. It was a cozy work environment, and everybody knew everybody else. People were usually friendly and informal in their approach toward one another, and there was a decent level of openness about the organization’s operations. Yet, there was a downside: due to the small size of the company, there was also a high level of territoriality. Some of the supervisors were very protective of their positions, and made it hard for their subordinates to enjoy their work.
