Abstract

Over the past 10 years, researchers at the Open University (OU) in the UK have been involved with a New Europe-New Energy project, which has attempted to monitor and assist the development of sustainable energy policies and technologies in the new European Union (EU) countries — in particular, but not exclusively, those countries emerging from the break-up of the former Soviet Union.
