Company Culture and Chief Executives

Abstract

Dealing with this topic has often consisted of an enquiry as to how senior executives can influence company culture so as to improve performance. The relationship between these two concepts is more complex, however, as are the reasons for confronting the concept of ‘culture’ with that of ‘senior executive’. This article, therefore, offers a few key concepts to address the real issue, that is, the balance or currents of influence existing between senior executives and the culture of the company they have to run.
