The Top Executive’s Martial Art: His Strategic Approach

Abstract

The strategic approach aims at creating conditions for working out and implementing relevant strategies. The human factor is at the centre of this approach, which is based on two main assets: on the one hand, the top executive’s personal preparation and, on the other hand, his ability to rally people’s commitment and efforts and to develop a climate of loyalty towards his partners as well as towards his competitors. Depending on circumstances, strategic goals are being met when the strategist, who undertakes his activity within a long-term perspective and one of saving on resources, ensures (as a minimum target) the survival and (as a maximum) the optimal development of the structure for which he is responsible.
