Abstract

Increasing migration, mobility and, globalization have made nations and international companies more interdependent globally. Workforces have become more international, local environments more multicultural. Media and technology have made a substantial contribution to the acceleration of exchange of different values and lifestyles. Culture is not a new notion. The term originates from the Latin colere, to denote the process of cultivation in a broad sense. However, since the middle of the 20th century culture has been a buzzword used in daily as well as in scientific, political, public, and business discourses.
