Abstract

People today live in a highly organized economy where a variety of organizations — including firms, governments, and associations — constitute significant societal backbones. In many organizations, people have roles as employees; in these roles, they carry out work that is important to their well-being, identity construction, personal development, and, of course, their income. Human Resource Management (HRM) has a critical role in handling the interplay between employer and employee. HRM is particularly important in ensuring that individuals find opportunities to develop themselves and that people are satisfied with their working situations.
