Abstract

The effect of the Internet on the economy, and in particular on various retail-oriented industrial sectors, has been widely discussed and analysed. It is, however, the capital markets where we might see the greatest changes. Technology allows us dramatically to change business models and to establish benefits for institutional clients and wholesale markets alike. The purpose of this chapter is to highlight some of these changes.
