Abstract

Religion is the medium through which a large proportion of the world’s people seek meaning in their lives. Its power is so strong that when many of us speak of faith we need no other explanation. Belief, in and of itself, is the anchor that tethers our lives within the universe. Lying behind our beliefs — the generator of belief — is an innate desire to understand at the very core of our being. To harness this desire to corporate thinking seems inappropriate when we know there is much more to life than business. But when we see business as one of the most important fulcrums of change, or as a social institution, as Peter Drucker regarded the large corporation, there seems some merit in grappling with the mysteries of corporate evolution.
