Abstract

Individual well-being is an important issue for organizations, and consequently management is involved in multiple politically responsible actions aimed at improving employees’ well-being and the quality of their working lives (Pitt-Catsouphes & Googins, 2005). Organizational commitment to take care of individual well-being has become both an ethical issue, as a result of the growing demand for social responsibility, and a business issue, in pursuit of an increase in motivation and performance (Patterson, West, Lawthom & Nickell, 1997).
