The paradigm in the automobile industry of the future

Abstract

So, where does all this leave us? The purpose of the automobile paradigm has been to provide a basic template for the companies that comprise the industry, yet if this hints at a static view then this would be to misconstrue the manner in which the industry has developed. Any neat prescription for a perfectly formed automobile company is bound to be beaten out of shape by the vicissitudes of the market place and the ambitions of the management. Like all paradigms, there is plenty of potential for development within the basic parameters. Elsewhere, we can see how the world’s top physicists wrestle with the ramifications of Einstein’s revelations while the rest of the world is happy to be pushed around by Newton’s Laws of Motion. A paradigm only marks out the boundary of the battlefield, what happens within that boundary depends on the forces arrayed and the lie of the land.
