Abstract

When we go to bed, overnight while we are sleeping, our car doesn’t change very much. But the garden is alive with activity. Go on holiday for two weeks and when we come back the car is basically the same as when we left it. But the garden is overgrown. The garden is organic. It keeps growing day and night. It is changing all the time. Markets are like gardens: organic, growing, and changing all the time. Good gardeners constantly tend their gardens. Big changes are usually only needed as a result of neglect. If you overlook your garden for too long it gets so overgrown by weeds that you can’t see the flowers. Precious plants die. Pests proliferate.
