The Economic Effects of Popular Education in the U.S.S.R

Abstract

The historical and cultural importance of education in the development of modern society is well known. Popular education in the U.S.S.R. is being conducted on a vast scale. In 1961–62 there were 56 million persons receiving tuition of all kinds (including training of workers in factories and at different courses) as against 10·6 million in 1914–15.
