Abstract

La migración, sin duda, es un factor importante en la economía mexicana. Esto se ve claramente reflejado al revisar las principales fuentes generadoras de divisas a nivel nacional, donde el ingreso por concepto de remesas para el 2009 ocupa el segundo lugar con un total de divisas de 21, 181 millones de dólares, siendo superado solamente por el total de exportaciones petroleras que suman 30,901 millones de dólares y rebasando al ingreso generado por concepto de turismo que es de 9,221 millones de dólares (Banco de México, 2009). Sin embargo, un ingreso pecuniario no necesariamente conlleva a un impacto en el desarrollo de una entidad, por lo cual surge la necesidad de buscar si existe una relación entre la migración y el desarrollo a nivel de entidades federativas, y cómo éstas se agrupan e interrelacionan con respecto de estos dos factores.
