Abstract

De manera general se reconocen diversos factores causales de esta profunda crisis económica y finnaciera, cuyos efectos todavía se viven en el ámbito mundial y cuya magnitud se ha considerado únicamente comparable con la crisis que enfrentó el mundo durante los años treinta del siglo pasado. De hecho, es justo señalar que la intensidad de las secuelas de la crisis en curso no es del todo conocida todavía aunque es previsible que las expectativas no son muy optimistas. Entre los factores que se citan frecuentemente como causantes de la crisis se encuentran el alza de los precios de las materias primar (incluyendo energéticos) y la crisis en la producción de alimentos. Cabe señalar que la inflación inducida por la escalada general de precios en el mundo se presentó de manera conjunta con un entorno recesivo en las principales economías del planeta.
