Abstract

En esta investigación se analiza la relación entre la inversión, deuda y rentabilidad de las empresas mexicanas que constituyen el Índice de Precios y Cotizaciones (IPC) de la Bolsa Mexicana de Valores (BMV). Además de la evolución de cada una de esas variables, se analizan otros indicadores financieros construidos a partir del balance general y el estado de resultados de las empresas que integran el IPC. Los principales resultados permiten distinguir aspectos favorables en la evolución de estas empresas como son el incremento en la liquidez y la constancia de la inversión productiva; en cambio son inconvenientes el incremento de la deuda de largo plazo, y la ausencia de su vinculación destacada con la inversión y la rentabilidad.
