Abstract

Growing interest in entrepreneurship education has led to increased publications in academic journals. This research field has become a central topic in entrepreneurship studies. While several systematic literature reviews have developed a research agenda for entrepreneurship education, a framework that integrates the environmental factors that influence entrepreneurship education is still needed. This chapter aims to systematically review the literature on entrepreneurship education from the institutional theory perspective. The authors conduct a systematic literature review supported by bibliometric analysis based on a sample of 55 articles published between 2010 and 2022 in journals included in the Journal Citation Reports™. The main findings show a framework by conceptualizing the different clusters where the research in this field is emerging, and directions for future research are highlighted.
