Abstract

This is an introduction to the book. It is explained that the closer one looks at comparative law, then the more obvious it is that it has become difficult to foresee the future of comparative law and to map out the potential directions of travel. Some sort of guideposts are needed, and this is the very idea behind this book. First, chapter addresses the present situation in the field. Second, it is made clear that modern comparative study of lacks a paradigm and, in fact, there are several schools of thought. Third, introductory chapter provides short description of every chapter of the book.
