Abstract

Regulation no 1286/2014 of 26 November 2014 on key information documents for packaged retail and insurance-based investment products (PRIIPs) aims to harmonise the rules governing the information given to retail investors relating to these investment products by using a horizontal approach of regulation which is not limited to a particular financial sector. It aims to increase the transparency and comparability of PRIIPS subscribed by retail investors through the issue of short-disclosure documents with a standardised format.
