Abstract

In today’s fast-paced and interconnected world, the pursuit of work-life balance (WLB) has become increasingly crucial for maintaining employee health and wellbeing. As individuals juggle multiple responsibilities both in their professional and personal lives, the quest for equilibrium between work commitments and personal fulfillment has garnered significant attention from researchers, policymakers, and organizations worldwide. This book delves into the multifaceted dynamics of WLB and its impact on employee health and wellbeing from an international perspective. Through comprehensive research, insightful analysis, and practical recommendations, the book aims to contribute to the ongoing discourse surrounding these critical issues. The introductory chapter provides an overview of research development, national policies, and organizational practices to support WLB, employee health and wellbeing at work. The chapter concludes with a summary of key findings from subsequent chapters.
