Abstract

This chapter discusses the significant influence of language on national culture, highlighting the separate evolution of the Chinese language system from Indo-European languages, resulting in notable differences between the two. These distinctions have led to significant divergences in cognitive and philosophical perspectives between Chinese and Western traditions, forming the bedrock of the distinctive Chinese strategic mind that sets it apart from its Western counterpart.
