Knowledge lacuna and consequences

Abstract

This chapter highlights the ongoing lack of comprehensive understanding Chinese strategic thinking by Wester leaders. This is primarily due to their tendency to interpret Chinese issues from their own lens and their ignorance of Chinese perspectives. Given significant differences between the two traditions, misunderstandings have often resulted serious consequences across various domains. Despite this, the academic community has remained indifference to this diversity, as the dominance of Western perspective in the academic world has led to rigidity.
