Abstract

In reference to a travel segment promoting the lifestyles of health and sustainability (LOHAS), this chapter examines the tourist experience on a coffee estate, involving serious leisure, co-production, and happiness. Using a questionnaire probing the tourists’ visiting experience on a coffee estate in Taiwan, this chapter finds that serious leisure will positively affect the willingness to co-produce. Meanwhile, co-production will positively affect the LOHAS and happiness. This chapter confirms that the higher the degree of an individual’s participation in co-production on a coffee estate, the more happiness can be generated. Lastly, regarding the benefits of customized activities, a coffee estate will provide an opportunity to learning coffee-making skills along with the technology used in the coffee-making process, leading to an intense level of serious leisure pursuit and LOHAS living.
