Financialization and income inequality: a post-Keynesian institutionalist analysis

Abstract

This chapter analyzes the link between financialization - a key feature of money manager capitalism - and increasing income inequality across a number of developed nations. It also demonstrates that the development of modern financial structures does not preclude the existence of egalitarian public policies aimed at reducing inequality.
