Abstract

In March 2020, educators were forced to move their courses online, often in only a matter of days. Since then, many institutions have begun to offer more online courses. As instructors develop online courses, student learning should be a primary focus and applying the science of learning can assist instructors as they develop these courses. This chapter provides six key concepts from the science of learning literature and how to implement these concepts in an online course.
