Abstract

Banking and financial disintermediation is not a new concept for the legal studies even though it has opened new and interesting financing prospects for enterprises in today’s digital age. This chapter investigates whether small and medium-sized enterprises can access these new forms of financing and what is the regulatory framework of control and supervision defined by European legislation.
