Abstract

This chapter investigates the teaching of sustainable agritourism, with a focus on the three bottom lines of: economic viability, environmental stewardship, and social responsibility. It guides educators in developing curricula that incorporate these elements with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The emphasis is on providing educators with the resources they need to teach future teachers how to teach sustainable agritourism practices that promote local economic development, cultural preservation, and environmental conservation. This chapter provides educators with a comprehensive approach to preparing a new generation of agritourism professionals with the knowledge of designing experiences that are economically beneficial, environmentally sound, and culturally enriching, thereby contributing significantly to global sustainability efforts.
