Abstract

This chapter focuses on providing educators with the necessary strategies for effectively teaching the legal aspects of agritourism. It emphasizes the importance of understanding liability, regulatory compliance, and risk management when running agritourism businesses. Educators are trained on how to pass on knowledge about navigating complex laws, such as zoning regulations and building codes, which are critical for legal operations. The chapter also discusses how to teach about different business structures and the significance of effective risk communication strategies. The chapter’s goal is to prepare educators to teach agritourism operators about compliance and risk management, thereby improving the sustainability and legal soundness of agritourism ventures.
