Abstract

This chapter proposes a philosophy of governance for our times. I suggest that all human beings have endless power and potential and define this as one of the most general conditions of human existence, along with birth (natality) and death (mortality). The chapter aims to awaken its readers to their own endless power and potential and articulate how this relates to the world of projects, and - more broadly - a world that is facing Grand Challenges. At the advent of the 21st century, our endless power and potential is the only way left to govern ourselves into a better future and to preserve humankind. Here, governance becomes the eternal communication of endless possibilities, which is what humankind needs to shape its future against the existential threats it is facing (e.g., climate change, poverty, etc.).
