Abstract

Although this book is focused on the initial and general course on public international law, other courses on international law cover more specific subjects, such as human rights, environmental law, trade, and international criminal law. This final chapter briefly considers each of those four, more specialized courses. We review some of the history of these as subjects of international law as well as how they might be covered in the classroom. The purposes of this chapter is to provide some guidance to instructors who might also teach such specialized courses as well as for those who might want to incorporate greater coverage of any of those topics in their general course on public international law.
