Abstract

As a fast-growing field of research and practice, entrepreneurship has evolved dramatically over the past few decades. The pace of changes in this domain is subject to several practical and technological advancements. Nevertheless, most research scholars are still using conventional research methods to investigate this constantly changing phenomenon, i.e. entrepreneurship. Thus, there is a need to highlight the key issues in entrepreneurship research methods. Therefore, this chapter tries to shed light on the primary issues and classifies them into three major categories. The first section includes contextualising the entrepreneurial phenomena (contextual factors), which is necessary for revisiting entrepreneurship research methods. The second section deals with changing nature of entrepreneurship research methods (methodological factors), and the last section is focused on theorising and theory building (theoretical issues). Finally, the chapter concludes with some remarks and suggestions for future researchers.
