Abstract

Chapter 9 explores the intricate relationship between traffic regulations and autonomous vehicles. It begins by examining the concept of ‘traffic law,’ drawing parallels to the idea of the ‘law of the horse’. Additionally, it argues that a comprehensive understanding of traffic law is essential for all individuals, not just legal professionals. The chapter also discusses the risks associated with driving, comparing them to firearm mortality rates, and, finally, examines the potential impact of self-driving cars on traffic law.
