In: How to Stop Being Stuck with your Academic Writing

Abstract

The aim of this section is to make clear some of the ‘how’ of academic writing. It highlights the three main ways to improve your writing: reading; writing; and getting feedback on your writing. It explains what academics mean by synthesis and critique, what these techniques are for and how to introduce them into later drafts of your writing.
