Abstract

This section is a long and varied list of practical things you can try to get writing. They are mainly things you can do by yourself, right away, or with a bit of planning. Doing things differently is the key to getting unstuck with your academic writing. There are lots of ideas here to try. They are all different and work for different people and at different times. There are also links to related sections elsewhere in the book. Because doing things differently is so important, most of the links in other sections will lead back to parts of this section.
