Abstract

This chapter analyses the types of remedies that are available to international courts and tribunals in the context of environmental disputes. In order to do so, it delves into the purposes of judicial remedies, and connects environmental harm with judicial remedies. Moreover, it categorizes remedies as retrospective and prospective, in order to understand how each type of judicial remedy can be used in environmental disputes.
