Abstract

Responsibility is ingrained in human nature and learned within the societal context. As a prerequisite for the functioning of market systems, social responsibility complements corporate activities and is considered in financial investments. As a multi-stakeholder phenomenon, CSR is of value to various constituents. CSR emerged in the Western world and is a culture-dependent phenomenon. CSR becomes a feature of global governance in PPPs addressing social service provision and as a multi-stakeholder management means.
