Abstract

Bibiana Taboada Arango y Mauricio Villamizar Villegas, con textos cortos logran explicar en palabras sencillas muchos de los mecanismos a través de los cuales funcionan las políticas que adopta el Banco de la República, las paradojas que implican esos mecanismos y los grandes dilemas que se enfrentan al tomar decisiones. El libro constituye un aporte muy importante al entendimiento de las funciones del Banco de la República, de sus estrategias y de las políticas que este ha adoptado en el período reciente.Keywords: Política monetaria, Bancos centrales, Macroeconomía, Inflación, Estabilidad económica, Tasas de cambio, Tasas de interés
