Abstract

El quinto capítulo, inicia con un recuento histórico de los diferentes regímenes cambiarios en Colombia resumiéndolo en cuatro grandes periodos: Sistema de tipos de cambio múltiples (1921-1967), Crawling peg (1967-1991) y Bandas cambiarias (1991-1999). Taboada y Villamizar, se enfocan en describir las ventajas y desventajas de este sistema en el contexto colombiano, destacando su impacto en la estabilidad macroeconómica y las condiciones necesarias para su implementación exitosa.
