¿Por qué el Banco de la República no le presta al sector privado?

Abstract

El capítulo analiza por qué el Banco de la República no financia al sector privado, explicando los efectos negativos que esto tendría sobre la estabilidad macroeconómica y el control de la inflación. También se revisa la historia de la política monetaria en Colombia y el impacto de modelos anteriores que promovían esta práctica. Los autores resalta la importancia de preservar la independencia del Banco de la República y de mantener su enfoque en la estabilidad de precios. A la vez, subraya la relevancia de instituciones especializadas para atender las necesidades de financiamiento del sector productivo.
