Abstract

Con base en lo visto en el capítulo V… A partir de 1917 se empezó a imponer la propuesta de un banco único y en los debates parlamentarios se presentaron varios proyectos de ley que pretendían fundar un banco nacional de emisión. Entre los proyectos de ley presentados entre 1917 y 1922 hubo algunos que tuvieron los rasgos principales de Ley que creo el Banco de la República. Este hecho se pone de manifiesto en la influencia que tuvo la creación, en diciembre de 1913, del "Federal Reserve System" de los Estados Unidos. Este fenómeno de la influencia de la reforma bancaria americana se hizo extensivo a otros países andinos, los cuales al igual que Colombia, ya tenían una legislación para el banco central antes de la llegada de la Misión Kemmerer.
